A pilgrim from Plateau State, Jamila Muhammad, has died in Saudi Arabia.
The Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr Daiyabu Dauda, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Dauda said the pilgrim died at the King Abdul’aziz hospital in Makkah on Monday over complication from diabetes.
He stated: “When the complications began, we immediately took her to the hospital for proper medication in line with our mandate.

“Unfortunately, we lost her and the doctor at hospital confirmed it was complications due to diabetes.”
Dauda added that the deceased has since been buried in Makkah according to Islamic rites.
He condoled with her family over the loss and urged them to take solace in God.
