Police rescue abducted student, arrest suspect in Nasarawa

Security operatives in Nasarawa State have rescued a 14-year-old student, Dauda Salisu, unharmed, following his abduction in Gitata.

Sources said the victim, a JSS2 student at Ube Gitata, was reportedly kidnapped on Monday, near a local mosque by Jamilu Salisu, a male from Dutsinma in Katsina State.

The police swiftly tracked and apprehended the suspect at the Gitata riverside.

A second suspect, identified as Zailani SNU, is still at large.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to capture the fleeing suspect and ensure community safety.

Residents have been urged to report any suspicious activities promptly.
