Tinubu meets Adamu, Omisore at Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu has met with the former National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, and the party’s ex-National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Tinubu met with Adamu and Omisore, who arrived together for the meeting, at the State House on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

The Star had reported that Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State, on July 17, 2023, resigned as the APC National Chairman.

Omisore, a former deputy governor of Osun State, also resigned from his position as the party’s National Secretary.

The APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Sen. Abubakar Kyari, later took over the control of the ruling party as acting chairman.

The immediate past governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, is, however, being considered as interim national chairman of the APC, pending the conduct of the party’s convention later this year.

The Star also reported that the former governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, is being considered as the party’s national secretary.
