Troops secure release of 10 kidnap victims in Kaduna

Troops under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have facilitated the safe release of 10 kidnapped victims in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Security sources said the victims were received at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at a checkpoint operated by troops at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Maro, shortly after regaining freedom from a suspected terrorist camp.

Preliminary findings indicate that the victims were abducted on January 4, 2026, from Unguwan Gamu in Kajuru LGA.

Following their release, the victims were handed over to a representative of the local government chairman for care and reintegration into their communities.

Authorities said efforts are ongoing to track down those responsible for the abduction and to strengthen security in the area to prevent further incidents.
