Twin brothers wed twin sisters in Ibadan

A pair of twin brothers have tied the knot with a pair of twin sisters in a rare double wedding ceremony held in Ibadan on Saturday, June 20.

In a remarkable coincidence, one of the brothers, Taiwo, married a female twin also named Taiwo, while his twin brother, Kehinde, exchanged vows with the female twin named Kehinde.

The couples held their traditional engagement ceremony on Friday ahead of the white wedding on Saturday.

Sharing photos from the traditional wedding on Instagram, the grooms, Oguntoye Kehinde Oladele and Oguntoye Taiwo Oye, expressed gratitude to God and everyone who joined them in celebrating the occasion.

“Twins wed twins!!! Yesterday’s traditional wedding was simply amazing! We are grateful to God and everyone who celebrated with us.

“Today is the grand finale as the most famous twins in African tourism say ‘I Do’! All glory, honour, and adoration belong to God for making this day a reality,” they wrote.

In another post, the brothers described their union as a dream come true.

“Engagement done and dusted! What started as a dream is now a testimony. Thankful for love, family, friends, and God’s endless grace. Here’s to forever,” they added.

Photos from the traditional ceremony have since gone viral on social media, attracting congratulatory messages from family members, friends and well-wishers, many of whom described the double union as unique, heartwarming and a rare celebration of love.
