U.S. rapper, Takeoff, shot dead

American rapper, Kirshnik Khari Ball, popularly known as Takeoff, has been shot dead at a bowling alley in Houston, United States.

Takeoff, the third member of hip hop trio, Migos which includes rappers Quavo and Offset, was said to have been shot dead where he and Quavo were playing dice in the early hours of Tuesday.

Confirming the rapper’s death, the Houston police said an altercation broke out and someone started shooting where he was playing dice, adding a bullet hit the singer.

The police noted that Takeoff died at the scene, while two other people shot on the premises were taken to hospital.

“Media partners, we are not releasing an identity of the deceased victim until his family is notified and ID verified by Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
