Spain have been drawn against Germany, while Ghana will face Portugal in Group H at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

England have also been drawn against USA, Iran, and the winners of Wales, Scotland, and Ukraine’s play-off in Group B.

Gareth Southgate’s side know they will kick-off their World Cup campaign against Iran before facing the United States in their second game, but their third group-stage opponents are yet to be determined.

The Three Lions will face the winners of the outstanding European qualifying play-off, either Wales, Scotland or Ukraine.

World champions, France, begin the defence of their crown against the winners of Intercontinental play-off 1 (United Arab Emirates, Australia or Peru) in Group D, which also features Euro 2020 semi-finalists Denmark and Tunisia.

The tournament’s opening game will see hosts Qatar face Ecuador in Al Khor on November 21, 2022.

Group A: Qatar, Netherlands, Senegal, Ecuador

Group B: England, United States, Iran, Wales or Scotland or Ukraine

Group C: Argentina, Mexico, Poland, Saudi Arabia

Group D: France, Denmark, Tunisia, Peru or UAE or Australia

Group E: Spain, Germany, Japan, Costa Rica or New Zealand

Group F: Belgium, Croatia, Morocco, Canada

Group G: Brazil, Switzerland, Serbia, Cameroon

Group H: Portugal, Uruguay, South Korea, Ghana
