The Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has described Kaduna State Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Balarabe as a role model for women in the country.
The leader of the Kaduna State chapter of FOMWAN, Amira Nafisa Isa Musa, made this known when the association members paid a courtesy visit to Balarabe at the Government House in Kaduna on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Amira commended the deputy governor’s continued support to the association both as a leader and member of FOMWAN, adding that she is dedicated to addressing gender issues.
She said FOMWAN members were in Government House to seek guidance and support from the Kaduna State Government for a successful national conference and 40th anniversary holding in Kaduna in August.

Amira noted that the presence of Governor Uba Sani, the deputy governor, and other senior government officials would add prestige to the conference.
Amira further stated that FOMWAN focuses on women’s and children’s issues and development in the country.
Responding, the deputy governor expressed her readiness to offer support throughout preparations for the conference, just as she provided strategic advice and valuable suggestions during the meeting.
