Tinubu commends Fintiri’s projects, vows continued economic reforms

President Bola Tinubu on Monday visited Yola, Adamawa State, assuring Nigerians of sustained economic reforms aimed at empowering citizens and boosting prosperity.

During the one-day official trip, the President commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for delivering impactful projects in education, infrastructure, and health, describing his administration as a model of effective governance.

Speaking at the event, President Tinubu highlighted the importance of collaboration between the federal government and state governments, noting that proper policy implementation had enabled states to carry out major projects that directly improved people’s livelihoods.

He applauded Governor Fintiri’s efforts in constructing roads, model schools, and modernizing the state High Court, stating that these initiatives reflect a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

The President also praised the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, describing him as “honest, bold, courageous and committed,” and credited his leadership in the fight against banditry and terrorism in the region.

Governor Fintiri, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the President for commissioning key projects, including a model school costing N24.8 billion, the expanded Galadima Aminu road with an overhead bridge and underpass at N15.6 billion, the remodeled state High Court complex at N5.5 billion, and a new Government House office complex at N6.3 billion. He reaffirmed the state’s support for the President’s reforms.

The event was attended by five state governors — Agbu Kefas, Babagana Zulum, Caleb Mutfwang, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, and Mai Mala Buni — along with ministers and top federal officials, and traditional leaders who were praised for maintaining peace and harmony in the state.

President Tinubu urged state governments to continue investing in education and poverty alleviation, emphasizing that inclusion and empowerment remain central to his administration’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria.
