Wizkid, Asake drop joint EP ‘Real Vol. 1’

Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Asake have officially released their much-anticipated joint EP titled Real Vol. 1, a four-track project featuring Turbulence, Jogodo, Iskolodo and Alaye.

The duo announced the release on Instagram, sharing a promotional video accompanied by the caption, “Real EP Vol. 1 ti jade bayi,” signalling the project’s arrival to fans.

The EP builds on the success of its lead single, Jogodo, which was released on January 16 and quickly gained widespread attention. The song broke records on Spotify Nigeria, amassing 1.388 million streams within its first day — the highest single-day streaming figure for any collaborative or duo release on the platform in Nigeria.

Jogodo debuted at number one on Spotify Nigeria and also made an international impact, reaching number 82 on the global Spotify chart.

Real Vol. 1 marks another high point in Wizkid and Asake’s growing musical partnership, following previous collaborations such as MMS and Bad Girl.

Both artistes have also enjoyed strong individual performances in 2025. Wizkid’s Morayo emerged as the most streamed album on Apple Music Nigeria, while Asake’s Why Love topped the charts as the most streamed song during the same period.
